Performer Sign-Up for the Uptown Cabaret

Announcing the Performer Sign Up for our first ever Uptown Cabaret! 

Performances are February 17th and 18th, 2023 at 7:30 pm in the Uptown Theatre in the First Street Community Center, Mount Vernon, IA. Directed by Leslie Hyland and Kami Zbanek Hill. 

The vision behind Uptown Cabaret is an evening full of musical theater tunes, community, and surprises while we raise some funds for MVLCT. 

MVLCT is looking for singers ages 12 and up to sign up to perform as a solo, a duet, or in a small group. The directors are looking for a nice balance of solos and group numbers, so please know that not all submissions may be chosen for performances. You are more than welcome to submit more than one song for consideration. Please keep to Musical Theater, Opera or Disney songs. 

All songs should be self-prepared. You’ll get the opportunity to rehearse with Leslie, our music director and accompanist for the evening at least twice before performance time, and we will have one full dress rehearsal with all singers.

In addition to your song submission, we ask that you submit a 30 second - one minute video of yourself performing one of the songs you would like to perform. Please email videos to mvlctauditions@gmail.com. You only need to submit one video, even if you are submitting several songs for consideration. 

Please fill out a separate google form for each song you would like to submit for consideration! Be sure to include all performers in your submission!
