Can’t stop, won’t stop–celebrating our fortieth anniversary, that is! Why not extend the celebration of our forty years on stage right into 2021?
The bad news is, like every theater group in the world, we’ve had to put our season on hold–and it was our very special fortieth anniversary season, too, with all kinds of fun things planned.
The good news is that since we already have the rights to perform The Drowsy Chaperone and House of Blue Leaves—as well as talented and flexible directors for both plays–those shows can happen on stage in 2021!
Right now we are planning The Drowsy Chaperone to be next summer’s musical and House of Blue Leaves will be a wonderfully dark comedy for next fall or spring, with fun auditions, long rehearsals, elaborate sets and all.
To keep ourselves and our audience busy in the meantime, we are currently in rehearsal for Every Single Note, our virtual show for this summer. In the works is a fall play that can be performed either in person or online, depending on circumstances. Health and safety will always be our first considerations.
It’s a creative and logistical challenge, but we are up for it. Being a part of such a supportive and generous community keeps us going. Please stay tuned and don’t hesitate to reach out with questions, ideas or donations!
