These Shining Lives – Performance Updates

MVLCT’s main focus is community–whether our cast and crew, or our patrons and volunteers.

We want to announce that These Shining Lives will continue its final two performances this weekend on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 at 7:30 PM at the FSCC Uptown Theatre in Mount Vernon. 

Please know that we are taking all precautions necessary to protect our most valuable resources—YOU.

Extra safety precautions we are taking to keep everyone’s health in mind:

  • Hand sanitizer available at the door and around the theatre
  • Signage in common areas to remind everyone to practice good hygiene
  • Increased/enhanced internal cleaning

These Shining Lives – Opens March 6th

This isn’t a fairy tale, though it starts like one. It’s not a tragedy, though it ends like one.

Catherine Donohue’s opening line to the audience in These Shining Lives sets the tone for a play that is hard to categorize.

Based on the true story, it shows us the lives of the “radium girls” who painted dials with glowing radium-infused paint to create watches that could be read in the dark.
